FAQ's

What is Life-Mate?

Life-Mate is a dietary supplement, providing elements of nutrition (including vitamins, minerals, digestive enzymes, amino acids, bioflavanoids, and more) that are essential for maintaining good health.  It contains no drugs, stimulants or other potentially harmful ingredients.  The ingredients are derived primarily from natural sources that work synergistically with the body to sustain a high level of health and provide a state of mental as well as physical well-being.

Are there any side-effects?

In the thirty-plus years Life-Mate has been on the market, only two side-effects have ever been reported.  Most people experience no side-effects at all, and if they do feel anything, it is only for a short time while the body adjusts to the product.  Since the product contains no drugs or stimulants, the chances of feeling any side-effects are highly unlikely.  The only two reported side-effects are:

Niacin Flush:

Since Life-Mate contains niacin, it is possible to experience an occasional “niacin flush” – primarily if Life-Mate is taken on an empty stomach.   A “niacin flush” occurs when the niacin dilates the capillaries in the blood stream and causes the blood to flow more freely through the body.   This tends to feel like a mild hot flash, with a tingling sensation and redness occurring  in the skin of the face and possibly other parts of the body, especially elbows and knees. This sensation is not harmful and normally lasts only a few minutes, passing with no lasting side-effects.  Many people consider this flush to have a cleansing effect and feel it is healthy.

Detoxification complaints:

One of the benefits of taking Life-Mate is that it tends to cleanse the body of toxins that may have accumulated in the system.  If the toxic accumulation is significant, detoxifying too quickly can be an unpleasant experience.  If the toxins are released too quickly into the system, it can cause headaches and nausea until they are excreted from the body.  This only occurs in a very small percentage of people.  If this does occur, it can be alleviated by decreasing the amount of Life-Mate taken until the detoxification process has ended (generally not more than a few days) and then increasing the amount taken to the desired level.

Will Life-Mate interact negatively with any medications I am taking?

Life-Mate contains no drugs or chemicals.  It contains only nutritional ingredients that are commonly found in your diet.  Therefore, there should be no reaction between Life-Mate and any medications. However, if you have any questions or concerns, we would highly recommend that you take the ingredient list of Life-Mate to your doctor and have him approve it for your use.  A list of the ingredients found in Life-Mate can be found elsewhere on this website.

How long will it take to notice a difference?

Life-Mate does not work like drugs do.  The amount of time it takes to feel a difference will vary from person to person.  The length of time and the dosage needed to bring about a noticeable change will be determined by a variety of factors such as current physical (and mental) condition, lifestyle, diet and eating habits, stress level, and overall physical constitution.  Most of those taking Life-Mate have reported feeling an improved condition within 1 to 3 weeks, some within just a few days.  Some people, after taking the product for a short time, felt there was no significant change and discontinued taking it.  Then after about a month, they noticed that they were not feeling as good as they had and realized that the product had brought on a change, but it was so gradual they hadn’t noticed it.  By taking Life-Mate again, they found that it did make a positive improvement in their overall level of health.

What difference should I expect to feel?

Since this is strictly a nutritional formula, there are no predictable results (as you get with drugs).  The majority of those taking Life-Mate report an increase in their energy level, a stronger resistance to common ailments (e.g. flu and colds), and an overall enhanced feeling of physical and mental well-being.  These results may vary for each individual, depending on factors such as needs, lifestyle and overall physical constitution.

How much Life-Mate should I take?

The amount of Life-Mate you take is completely up to you.  Four capsules will give the amount of ingredients listed on the label.  Many people find that taking more than four a day increases the benefits they feel.   Since everyone’s needs are different, there is no set amount that is best for everyone.   It is recommended that each individual experiment to find out what is the optimal amount for him or her.   The amount taken may also vary with what is going on in your life at the time.  If you are in a particularly stressful situation, a little more may prove beneficial, and when that condition is past, you can decrease to your normal optimal amount.  Taking a large dosage (12 or more a day) may be helpful for a short time, but it is not recommended over an extended period of time.

When should I take Life-Mate?

Life-Mate can be taken at any time of the day.  Some prefer to spread the intake throughout the day, while others take it all at the same time.  This is an individual preference.  It is highly recommended to take LIFE-MATE with food.

How should I take Life-Mate?

Life-Mate should always be taken WITH FOOD.  Food in the stomach will help absorb the taste of the ingredients and will prevent an unpleasant aftertaste (which may occur if taken on an empty stomach). When first starting, we recommend taking 2-3 a day for 2-3 days to let the system adjust to it.  Then gradually increase (by 2 a day – with a few days between) until you reach the amount that seems optimal for your needs.  Somewhere between 4 to 8 capsules per day would be a normal dosage.

Can children take Life-Mate?

Children can definitely benefit from taking Life-Mate.  However, they should not take as much as an adult.  Until they have reached the mid-teen years, they should take from 1 capsule (for small children) to 3 capsules (for close to teenage), 2 capsules (for in between).   Four capsules are probably sufficient for mid – to late-teens.  Babies can also benefit from taking Life-Mate, but shouldn’t get more than a pinch (mixed with formula or fruit).

Who can take Life-Mate?

Since Life-Mate is simply “nutrition in a capsule”, everyone – from youth to old age – can benefit from taking it.  Children, of course, should not take the same amount as adults.
